Martin Advertising is the largest and one of the oldest advertising agencies in Alabama. Employing over 350 professionals, Martin Advertising has been providing premier service to clients for more than 30 years.
I led a team of engineers, project managers, and support analysts building internal software, data pipelines, and consumer facing applications. I also maintained our registry of custom Docker containers, configured for deployment into our Azure tenant.
As a working manager, no two days looked the same. I was as comfortable at the command line as in a meeting with executives or clients. I kept strong relationships with other department leads and pushed the people on my team toward the work they wanted next. I believe in doing the right thing the first time. I did not expect perfection, but I did expect excellence, and part of that was owning my own failures and learning from them.
